I don't know how these fit me though Love the 2 you picked - they have that certain extra flair

Awesome, I was going to suggest Express, too. If you can find returnable ones on Ebay, you might also try the brand Cashe.

I have an xs Express Essential shirt on the way, and if it's too snug, it will only be $2.40 to return it and try the small. That's a price I can totally accept for the opportunity to try on!
I have worn H&M in the past, and it runs quite small. I'm a 4 or even 6 sometimes in their stuff. None locally, so again, I'd have to pay for the shipping and return to try on for size. Always have to figure that price in, living in the boonies here.

It sounds like you are sorted with better quality options, but just to note that I am returning a size 14 H&M dress shirt because it is just a smidge too tight everywhere (I am an hourglass and this is fitted in the bust, waist & hips). For reference, I am also exchanging a casual long-sleeve tee in large for a medium - I don't normally need a 14 on top. These seem to be cut very body con, I can't imagine them being boxy on anyone.

Yes, Mo. they used to be my go to brand for button downs. I still like them. I just don't wear much stiff buttondowns anymore, other than for layering , like today's WIW.

Thanks Zap. I assume you have worn the Express? I don't usually have gape issues with my figure, but I agree it can look off even when the fit is otherwise just right.

ha, ha I just noticed your post above. Yes, I still have a few. The fit is brilliant. Try them on. I do love them for layering, they do not bunch up.

Mo, the problem with fitted buttondowns is the button gaping issue. If you want a fitted fit, I think your best bet is the Express essential button downs. For whatever reason, the way the buttons are placed is brilliant, they do not gape no matter how tight the fit.
As you know, there is always a sale going on and they are machine washable.

And now that Suz so rightly pointed out that I'm looking for princess seaming, I see this one http://www.express.com/the-ori.....rue#jsLink
Anyone have this shirt?

So, on Amazon I found this seamed one with v neck http://www.amazon.com/A-Armani.....+for+women
And then there is the BR fitted http://bananarepublic.gap.com/.....=715604032 ?

Thanks for the lead - I am not exactly curvy. 34" bust and 27" underbust. I usually have trouble with tops being boxy. I'll look into this one, thanks!

Angie, don't faint! Ever since I tried the one on on my road trip with the BF jeans I've been really wanting to get one. I love the juxtaposition of the ultra fitted tailored top with the loose and destroyed jean.
But I want it quite fitted. I'm thinking like Bebe or Victoria's Secret might be the type of places to start searching? I know Brooks Brothers and Foxcroft are going to be way too conservative for me. Any other ideas? Thx!
