Yoooohooo! I saw this size on and it fits well. Trust me.

Sandy wore the jacket with jeans and a shirt, AND the skirt with a moto jacket and denim jacket. Those combinations were FABULOUS. However Sandy, I think your feelings about this suit are not 100% and for that reason, you should take it back. Know what I mean, jellybean?

Joy, your question as to whether the two greys would work together. This suit is actually not grey, as it looks in the picture. It is a very fine texture of black, burgundy, and sort of purple, in very tiny specs, so I don't have much hope of the two pieces working but I sure will give it a try tomorrow. I may be surprised.
Thankyou so much Joy.
I'm starting to think that this is one of those things I want to work so bad that I am wishing it to. I like romantic casual suits, but I also want it to fit correctly and be suitable for me, and I appreciate all of you for your honest feedback. I may just be over thinking this too.

I had asked to see the pieces together -- thanks San! I agree with the other ladies; I think you should look for a sleeker look in the jacket, one that doesn't flare out as much. The skirt does look great on you. Unfortunately, I don't have any good suggestions, being that I am not currently in the market for a suit, but if I come across something I will let you know!

I am so sorry for the confusion. I was in a hurry to go to yoga and should have taken time to explain more clearly.
Someone had asked to see the two pieces together so that is why I photographed it today. I actually thought it looked great and was pleased! HaHa!
Yes this is the larger size jacket that was suposed to be the one that was the best fit. I did snip the threads holding the back flap of the jacket closed during shipping, and that may have changed the shape of the jacket sides to more of an A line, which might be why it is sticking out at the sides. I didn't notice it till it was mentioned. Alteration is a possibility.
I also am wearing my new bra which I thought put the girls up where they are supposed to fit in the jacket. I know the bra I was wearing in the fitting room at Nordstrom's was not good for the jacket fit. (I do in reality have a low bust, it's a fact)
Maybe there is just to much going on in this suit. I am terrible at choosing what style is for me, as GG said, this suit is romantic and she thinks my new look may be more modern.
Awe I'm so confused now too!!!!
Quite honestly I probably would rarely wear both parts together and should think of them as separates. Everyone seems to like the skirt more than they like the jacket. I'll keep messing with these and see how it works into my fall wardrobe and if all fails I know I can return.
Would anyone like to show me an example of what a more modern, yet casual suit looks like?
Thanks so much everyone for the opinions and honest help! You're great.

San, I kind of see Jean's point about the style. The suit itself is very pretty and looks great on you. I do think the pieces work better separately and combined with more modern things like Angie suggested before. It does depend on your lifestyle requirements as others have pointed out.

Ok, I am also a bit confused but what I think you are saying is that the one in this new picture is the correct size. If that is the case, I think it is too big. I like the suit but am not crazy about the pieces together. do you have appropriate use for the suit?. The shape of the suit is romantic and with your new hair and specs, I picture you in a sleeker more modern suit. The color is wonderful on you and if the jacket were altered it might be a whole different story.

Yes, add me to the "confused" list because this size in the jacket looks too big in the body for you -- were you going to have it altered?

I'm a little confused--is this jacket the correct size??

i don't think there was ever any doubt about whether or not the skirt was killer. I'm not sure about the jacket. It's a bit odd how it flares out at the bottom. I can see that looking sweet with a pencil skirt or slim trouser, but it just looks like too much volume/flare. Is this the bigger size? Does the smaller size flare out as much?

I agree with everything Patience said. The skirt especially is killer on you.
Can the other jacket you got at NAS (the one you had on with the sheath dress) be worn with this skirt? I like the other jacket a bit better than this one but it's a close call.

San, you look so cute, despite the jacket being too big. With your hair and glasses you look so naughty secretary in such a sophisticated age appropriate way. You look like you stepped out of a movie. ;)

As far as whether to keep the suit, I think it's a lifestyle and expense kind of question because I don't think there's any issue over the look.

Like Angie and her great memory recalled, this jacket is a different size than the one I had a pic of in the store, and I do like it MUCH better in the correct size. Also this is the first pic of the two pieces together.
