Thanks, everyone-- it's the side view that was driving me crazy, too. The front is cute, the back seems ok but it doesn't quite all work. I wonder if my regular size would have been better

I agree with smittie, the side view is making me crazy. I can't find a reason to love this one.

It looks like a mashup between a bomber and a swing coat...SO from the front it looks good (bomber) and from the back it looks good (swingy) but from the side, where the two styles join, it looks odd to me.
I don't think it looks poofy at all, if that is your main Concern.

Take what I say with a grain of salt because I'm a pretty conservative dresser.

I think your Star Wars jacket fits better and fills a similar niche. I've been liking Veronica Beard lately, too. If only some of the longer parkas did not feature fur ....

Sorry for all these posts! I've been working to fill the jacket/topper in my wardrobe. I really like this Veronica Beard jacket which I went down a size (it was described as a relaxed fit and my normal size wasn't available) I like it, but does the poofy back look funny?
Does the size work? I'm wearing a thick sweater and it zips fine, though I couldn't do yoga in it. I'm afraid if my usual size was available it might look even more poofy in the back?
