I bought my now most comfortable ballet flats on a J. Crew final sale and could not return them after finding they hurt my feet with extended wear. The day started out great. Loved the shoes, loved the outfit with the shoes, and felt comfortable in them. By mid afternoon it started to feel a bit tight. By the end of the day I was hobbling in a major way and had a big red sore spot on the side of my foot. The top was too narrow. I had it stretched at Nordstrom but no luck - sometimes that works. </p> <p>I'm mentioning this to others in case anyone else has wide feet. They are very comfortable and pretty. However, have sporty soles. Mostly these are not visible when wearing but I only want to keep them if they're acceptable wear for business attire - I can find something dressier for suits but could I wear this with jacket and separate trousers for example? The red is patenet and grey is suede. Both have identical soles.
