@Tanya - I like your idea of different textures of the same colour. As for salsa dancing, I am so happy to meet another dancer here!!! Often times, it takes a dancer to know a dancer and as you know, certain outfits work better for salsa (ie clothes that don't restrict leg or body movement) then what one wears when going out. I would love to hear or see what fun outfits you wear for salsa. As for my boots, I know footwear with a smooth bottom is great for sliding on the dance floor. I love this pair because these block heels are so stable and they are one of my more comfortable high heel boots. I'll give them a try for dancing and if not, I can always switch back a pair of boots which i had a cobbler add a suede bottom to, to make it more ideal for dancing.

@Rachylou - I wasn't going for the goth look but now I know, this is a dark outfit that won't stand out on the dance floor.

@Gigi - You are making me think of a bold silver jewellery .... thank you!

@Sterling - Thank you!

Hi. I didn't have the opportunity to comment yesterday, but I wanted to say I really like the outfit for date night. I hope you have fun.

I don't think it's too dark, but when I wear an outfit that is monochromatic, I like to add a little jewelry to create some pizzazz. Maybe some rings or a necklace could be added?

It's more goth than salsa, but I don't know that it's too dark...

The outfit is dark, but that tends to work fine for going out, as long as black is a flattering color for you. Typically it is recommended to have a mix of textures when going for all-black. I am a bit worried about your boots though - I do a lot of salsa dancing myself and those look quite heavy. Are you sure you will be able to dance/spin properly in those boots? Or you might be bringing a separate pair of dance shoes to change into at the salsa place.

As for the eye shadow, I would pick a color that goes best with your eye color and skin tone, not one that goes with an outfit. Since the outfit is all black, anything goes with it anyway.

Date night. Dinner at Pasta Palooza followed by a night of salsa dancing. I wanted something comfortable yet somewhat attractive. Is this outfit too dark? What color eye shadow do you think would work well with this outfit?
