My opinions: Blazer is not bad, but not really fab. If you have a better one, toss it! The shirt is too big; if it's of high quality, have it tailored, if not, get rid of it! The cut of the dress is flattering on you, but the pattern might be dated...I'm not really sure on this one. If you don't like it enough to buy leggings to go with it, toss it and look for another dress in a similar cut! I really like the plaid skirt! Keep it. Toss the tunic and the belt. YMMV.

I think the plaid skirt is so appealing and retro. In fact, I am pretty sure I wore this the 70's. I smile when I see young woman in these clothes again.
The white shirt does look a bit big to wear with what really looks like a business skirt. Tucked into skinny jeans would look very cute and boyfriendish.
I think the jacket does look a bit dated and I can see the shine. I would let that one go.
The dress and the tunic both look fine. They are not showstoppers but not everything has to be. If you feel good in them, wear them. If not, let them go.

I love the blazer, too! I also love the plaid skirt, particularly in #10. The white shirt is ok, but maybe too big. The rest is not quite my cup of tea. I'm on the fence about the dress, but I vote toss for belt and long tank (#9).

Karie the blazer is not part of a suit. I styled it with the pencil skirt because it doesn't look as good with jeans as my other black blazer. I could try it with trousers. With trousers & pencil skirts it is too corporate looking for me. I don't have a need for that look & it is not my persona. I also noticed that the drycleaners overpressed it and the seams are shiny. I hate it when they do that & ruin expensive wool clothes.

Alaskagirl I'm white shirt illiterate myself, hence the need to get advice here.

Karie I might see if I can wear the shirt under sweaters, something I never usually do but have seen Angie do, & if that doesn't work purge it. I think the straight hem might make it look weird poking out from a sweater.

Thanks ladies your'e the best! I am happy that the most compliments I got for this lot is the plaid skirt combo, which is the outfit that is the real me. The blazer, white shirt & pencil skirt combo are something I think I may need sometime in the future, you know for a job interview or court appearance or something that probably wont happen.

I'm still unsure about the tunic tank as it is a great casual piece in the summer & the belt I need to style I guess. How about this?

I think you can do better for a white shirt and need to find one with a better fit. Love the entire outfit with the plaid skirt and prefer the shirt tucked in. I agree that if the jacket is part of a suit, it is worth keeping...

I love the blazer! I can't tell if it's dated, but I love the lapel style in the menswear fabric. The dress collar style looks dated to me. No advice on white shirts - so out of my style range! Love the plaid skirt, and the tunic looks fine. I'd try the skirt with a chunky sweater.

The plaid skirt is really cute like this with the tights and boots; a fun autumn casual outfit!

I am not a fan of the tank in #9 as it seems to overwhelm you a bit.

As for the other items, I am not sure. How do you feel about them? Do they duplicate other things in your closet? Do you have a need for them? None is *bad* per se, but if you're asking about them, you must have some level of discomfort/ dislike for them?

If the blazer is part of a suit, I would probably keep it. It fits really well. I love the plaid skirt (tucked) and the tunic tank. The blouse is a little big, but you could keep it to wear under sweaters. The rest I am not so crazy about, so I would toss.

I love the blazer, but I suspect the wide lapels make it look dated. But my judgment on these things is not very good. The outfit with the plaid skirt is just wonderful. Really. Either way, although I am leaning slightly in favour of tucking.

For the blouse, you can sew in a discreet snap to prevent gaping. I try to always wear a cami, just to be on the safe side.

Wow, I don't think I know enough about your style/wardrobe to evaluate, but I don't the fashion police would pull you over for any of this stuff. The black blazer looks like it fits you really, really well (and fit is everything). Is it a suit with that skirt? If so, I'd hang onto it for sure. The white shirt looks okay (try fashion tape) but there are better ones out there if you love a white shirt. The upper sleeves look big to me. I know you're not asking about the denim (?) blazer, but the fit on that is phenomenal. You can wear black leggings with a brown and white dress, IMO. The other outfits are casual and if you need them, keep them. If you're tired of them or moving in a different style direction and have replacements, let them go.

I'm not very knowledgeable so my thoughts probably aren't worth much. Is this black blazer different enough from your other one that it would serve a different purpose in your wardrobe? Seems to me you really can't have too many white shirts. I like the dress with the jacket - what about styling it with boots? Like Rae, I really like the way you have styled the plaid skirt with the shirt tucked in. Jury is out for me on the belt and tunic.

I like the blazer but if you have one you like better, let it go. You only need so many. The white shirt actually looks too loose to me. Maybe you need to size for your bust and then have the bottom take in? I don't care for the black and white dress, I'd say toss. I love the plaid skirt and the way you have it styled. I don't like the belt or the tank, they're both dated to me. Love the shirt tucked into the skirt even better. Perfect!

Thanks for bearing with me, for those of you who still are I need to get this sorted by Friday & have a lot of house stuff to go through as well as find price tags with strings & a rack etc.

#1-3 I have another black blazer I like better do I need this one or is it dated?

#4 Do you like the white shirt? If so any tips on preventing the gape at breast. It is definitely big enough.

#5-6 The printed dress is brown & white so I think black leggings look bad but don't know if I like it enough to buy brown ones for it.

#7 The plaid skirt reminds me of the 70s so I styled it that way. I could wear orange tights for less contrast with the boots too. I love the 70s fashion but can I wear a skirt this length with tights?

#8 What do you think of the belt?

#9 Is this tunic tank ok?

#10 plaid skirt with top tucked
