I think you could also experiment with a little edgier cut or shape of the rest of your hair while still keeping some length and swingyness to it with the full bangs. Maybe your stylist can help you experiment with some variations on the bob but not too extreme so you can regrow fairly easily if you prefer the softer more traditional style. Your hair is thick enough to have "a short hairstyle" shorter than in your photo. As I also have tried some trial and errors in my own haircuts too from the pixie haircut until the long hairstyle for almost six years I tried cut my own hair and played with so many hairstyles with it, you can watch my pictures in my websites as your references even though I always apply 'bangs" too My bangs always there because I tried several times and I looked older when I ditch bangs in all my hairstyles on my short cut hairstyles or my long cut hairstyles. However, seeing your face shape I am sure that you can ditch your bangs without worries, just try to cover your cheeks with your hair to make your face shape oval, make a short cut and pull your left and right side hair to cover your cheeks and let your back hair cut longer than the left and right sides that's all and get the fresh new look with a new hairstyle without bangs.. So...I've tried a couple of styles of bangs that sweep to one side or another. But now I have full, 'fringe-y' bangs and I'm kind of digging the look. And so does my husband. What do you think? (sorry about the grainy photo, bad lighting, etc.). Thanks for your honest opinion. YAY=bangs look good on you NAY=ditch the bangs
