All great questions. I echo the ladies. It depends on how formal your dance will be. Sweet frocks though, and could be ideal.

I think #1 is too short even for high school--maybe especially for HS! Just an inch or 2 longer would do it. I'm sure I'm bucking the trend there and the retailers are laughing all the way to the bank.

Agree with the other posters that maybe the dance organizers and your friends could tell you whether it's just like Prom but girls ask boys, or if it's intended as a more casual event overall. However, at a lot of dances you will find a big variety of dresses.

It really depends on the culture of the school. Our Sadies were more casual and themed - Grease, Mardi Gras, etc. It looks like yours might be much more formal... the second even more formal than the first. Do you know any older girls you can ask about what they wore before? What is your group wearing?

I had to google what a Sadie Hawkins dance was first!

Yes, how formal are dances at your school? When I was in high school, dances were all casual except for a formal and a semi-formal dance.

Wow, those are both very different looks. The first looks more modern and sexy, whereas the second is cute, flirty and a little retro. Which do you like better?

I suppose it also depends on how formal the dance is - dances at my school were always pretty casual, except for one or two semiformal events a year. Do you know what your friend will be wearing? Does the dance have a theme?

My friend invited me to her school's Sadie Hawkins since she's not interested in asking anyone this year, so we're going to go as a group. I was wondering if this was a good dress for a Sadie Hawkins, I've never been to one:

http://www.windsorstore.com/Ar.....s/p/122828
^That one, except in dark blue.

I've mostly been seeing these types of dresses lately, with an empire waist and a full, short skirt: http://weheartit.com/entry/334.....38;imgres=

Is that what I should be wearing? Or should I stick to my original one?

Thank you!!
