I think the Soffts (?) would go really well with your outfit in the pic. But you should get sleek. If something is not your style, there's no point IMO (!)

Thank you for all the useful inputs. Ok I'm still keeping them, but haven't worn them outside the house. I had forgotten about those Franco Sarto's in Angie's store and they are gorgeous. I also saw those in my size at the Rack for $80, but they weren't as comfortable (only by a little) as these. I might have to go and do a compare again... I think I prefer the sleeker look, just wanted to make sure I wasn't dated since I've had mine for so long. I guess they probably went out and are back again at this point.

I love those boots! In fact they are upstairs in brown and they are gorgeous. Unfortunately they didn't work for me (can't remember why, probably my XW feet) so I have to send them back. I think they will be awesome for you!

I like these boots, but that does not seem to be your question. In answer to the question 'can I still wear more form fitting boots without shame?' my answer is, yes.
I wear these on a regular basis and they are quite form fitting.
http://www.amazon.com/SOFFT-BA.....38;sr=8-21
And even if someone tells me I shouldn't, I'm going to keep wearing them 'cause I love them.

Another yay here. And my experience with that brand has been terrific -- great comfort for a heel of that height!

They still look quite sleek -graceful heel, nice silhouette. I think they would be a good replacement for your Kenneth Coles.

I think they look perfect to go with a dress. And if you need encouragement that the dress boot with dress look is still current, look no further than Angie's store, where she has a pair of dressy boots just waiting to be paired with a dress.

I recently realized I need to replace my beloved Kenneth Cole black boots that I've worn 2-3 times a week every fall/winter for the last 7 years (Last seen in photo below #)
In my search to replace I found these at an incredible bargain ($65) Nordstrom Rack of course.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ.....KP7YAMIEWA

My issue is they are not a complete substitute. They are incredibly comfortable, but the leather is much thicker and not as sleek in style as my originals. Do I need to upgrade to this style or can I still wear a more form fitting pair without shame? I have lower heeled black boots to wear with leggings and skinnies, so would wear these exclusively with skirts, dresses and suits so they must be work appropriate.
Sorry too lazy to download photos I took of the Soffts but if you insist I will. (no gappage, just a little ankle gathering)
