I was smitten by the style when I started seeing it on blogs in early spring, and I bought the Halogen Ghillie pair shown here (which are included in the NAS). I've worn the heck out of them this spring and summer so far. Almost every time I wear them, they get compliments. Just last week I was waiting in the music store where DS takes lessons. A (female) teacher walked by and said, "Those are the best shoes I've seen all day!"</p> <p>They're surprisingly comfortable, although I wouldn't choose them for a hike. If you're considering getting a pair, I'd encourage you to go for it. I've been wearing mine a lot this summer. It is a bare leg look, so if you live in a place that has four seasons or a chunk of winter, they are going to sit in your closet for half the year. </p> <p>What I'm starting to see 'in the wild' is the granny shoe! I'm seeing them being worn by younger women with short, patterned dresses (often floral) that are kind of 'A' line. Sort of 60's?
