How funny, Cilleena. LOL I'm sorry they didn't work for you. I also have bad feet that are very picky about shoes. So when I find comfy ones I hate to let them go. I'll probably end up with a Converse type pair as well. I can wear those or boots when the weather is mucky.

It depends on how much you're going to care if the toes get shiny. I own some suede boots that are meant to look rugged, so I wear them in all kinds of weather except pouring rain and I don't mind if they get a bit worn-looking. The toes take the hardest beating.

Ive found that using a brush helps keep that newish look...of course using a 'made for suede' cleaner every month or so makes a big difference too!

My only reservation is that with regular wear, suede starts looking old and used fairly quickly.

Brenda, I tell you, we buy so many of the same things, it cracks me up. I'm glad you think these are comfy, they didn't work for me. My feet must be horrible...they are sneakers for heaven's sake. Anyway, for your question, I think these are fine in suede, they seem like the all-weather type of suede, not really delicate at all. But, I would spray them with water repellant anyway.

There are many different water and dirt repellants for suede, so it shouldnt be a problem...you can always spot-test a area to make sure its working. Otherwise, save it for dry days! I would dry-brush them every few days to keep them in the best looking condition....very cute shoes! Hope they work for you

I bought a pair of Born Kais:

http://www.zappos.com/born-kai-charcoal

They are so comfy, and I think they are cute. My only hesitation is that they are suede. I couldn't tell from the pics that they were suede so that was a surprise.

We have such wet weather... would it be possible to spray them really well with shoe spray and have them last a while? Or maybe wear them mostly when it's dry? I would hate to give up such comfy shoes.
