Seems like I read somewhere that if an item was presented in an atypical pose, it could mean it is hiding something, so I felt a bit suspicious. Runcarla-Yes, I have those items in my closet and would style similarly right down to the pose as I do crawl and crouch on the floor playing with toddlers for my job(but would not want to frighten them when I stood up with a loud plaid)  Chewy- I would definitely wear a boxier longer top and roll the legs which to my eye would balance out the amount of plaid. I far prefer ordering items that have both a “possibilities” shot and a “just the facts” one. With just the first, I’d wonder what they were covering up; with just the second, I might not see the potential. See also dresses modeled with arms draped across the midsection. The first picture also has the jeans rolled up. It might just be that in the first photo, you don't see that much of the pattern because of her pose. In the second photo you see much more of the pattern and it may feel like too much for you. That outfit has a different vibe than the second with a cropped top. The first one also seems to have a baggier fit possibly sizing up. Do you think it could be just the difference in scale?
