I like crepe pants, but not crepe dresses. Crepe is not breathable, and it makes me sweat.

Hmm, I probably wouldn't, for multiple reasons. I don't think it would wrinkle, but I do think something with a bit of stretch (like a sweater dress or jersey dress) would be more comfy. And it may just be me but I slightly dislike the feeling of crepe fabric (it always seems a little scratchy to me) and I find long flights tend to exacerbate textural issues.

I do think it would be great to wear once you are there though!

I have a pair of black crepe pants by Habitat that are advertised as perfect for travel and they do travel well so if crepe is good for pants, it should work for dresses.

I too like the items you posted. The red dress is gorgeous. It would be very interesting with the leggings. And that shawl looks so comfortable and cosy. You pulled together a great travel capsule. Gorgeous, in fact.

What a pretty dress ! I love the silhouette. I have a couple of polyester crepe dresses from Boden. I LOVE them. It is a very versatile fabric. Mine remain rather wrinkle free but what I love about them is how easily I can care for them in travel. They are hand washable, dry quickly and you can steam or hang in the shower to straighten out.

It is loose enough that it would probably be airy enough if you got a bit hot. Mine are. I really like what you have put together.

Your dress pick is a polyester crepe according to N's website, so it certainly would be wrinkle free on your long flight. However, probably not very stretchy, unlike a wool crepe. And the usual poly non-breathability factor, too. I would favor leggings and a sweater for long-haul comfort. And some kind of short boot or shoe so you can wiggle your feet and ankles and take them on and off easily during flight.

I always take a big pashmina scarf to wrap up in for long flights, but the oversize shawl/scarf looks wonderful! Have a great trip!

Is crepe fabric good for travel? In particular, would a dress like the Charles Henry one below be comfortable and relatively-unwrinkly for an overnight flight?

I'm going from the US to London (my first time! yay!) and trying to figure out what to wear on the plane. I want to do leggings with a long top or dress. (See links for what I'll also be wearing, I think.) I have an EF top I just got that I'm leaning towards wearing, but I also ordered some dresses like this (this one in black and cobalt, actually). If I brought a dress like this, I'd also have it to wear IN London, which would be nice. But not necessary. (I'm not committed to a carry-on only, even though it's only four days, because we're bringing presents to friends, so we'll have a bunch of luggage--so I could take a dress anyway.)

Any thoughts (or general longhaul-flight-fashion advice) are much appreciated!
