It's pretty difficult for me to find a good-fitting pair of calf boots since I have long and narrow feet. I've measured my feet and it's 11 1/2 inches long but my calves are pretty skinny. What size will fit me best? Any recommendations as to brand?

I just got these and love them:

http://www.amazon.com/Coclico-.....B004V7XWTE

The 12.25" is accurate, and they have a little bit of hidden platform, so they're very comfortable.

Hi,
I never thought I would find boots to fit my slim calfs but I just did. Take a look at these two:
1.Blondo Women's Providence Boot at Endless.com that ships worldwide - they are taller than knee-high but not quite thigh-high. It may have a 14.5" boot opening but the calf area is definitely smaller and would have to be to fit me (12.5" calf size). Soft waterproof suede and very comfortable. Got them in the black leather too.
2. Blondo Women's Pasadena Knee-High Boots also from Endless.com. I liked the suede better than the leather but won't be keeping them as the calf is between 13.5"-14"
3. Also try DUO in the UK http://www.duoboots.com/?deliv_country=US where you can order boots according to your calf size and they ship worldwide.

Hope the above helps.

I also wanted to find boots that fit!

My calf circumference is also 10" and I cannot find anything to fit. My feet are a size 7 so I can't really look in kids sections. I'm also 17 years old so I can just about go up to £70 for boots (with my Mum's help!) I live in England and that narrows a lot of shops down as well :(

I have literally run out of ideas and am thinking of running everywhere barefoot because it's easier lol

I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has found boots that fit very small calves! xxx

I have skinny calves too and big problems finding boots that will fit without excessive gaping (12.5-13"), I tried a few pairs already this winter, am on the lookout for a classic sleek two tone pair of riding boots, I know, tall order...So far I've had luck with Miz Mooz - King in chestnut from last winter (perfect with skinnies) and Keller in burgundy (but it's a fun pair with buckles that I cinched for the perfect fit). I tried the Etienne Aigner Chastity as it's advertised and reviewed as a narrow shaft boot but I was swimming in those, worse than in rain boots, and I double checked even if I didn't order the wide calf by accident - nope.
I'm going to have the Ariat York boot altered by my cobbler, they're a bit too wide but I really ideally would want them to be perfectly fitted with nothing thicker than leggings or tights... I don't really believe I'll find exactly what I want, thus the alteration project...

So odd, I was just searching this same thread last night! I found these on Nordstrom.com, and plan to try them on when I'm in a store next week.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/tr.....hoppingbag

My calves are not ultra skinny at 12.75 Inches, but slim enough for tall boots to be big on me even with corduroy pants underneath. I'm not sure about tall lace up boots but I will give them a try and report back.

Wow, I just noticed how old this thread is but the problem hasn't gone away. Any post on narrow calf boots gets my attention. A 12" opening would be worth a try. Those look like classic boots at a great price but I've not heard of the brand.

I'm planning to just bite the bullet and order from Duo. I've just been emailing their customer service to try to find out which styles they have that will work with orthotics.

I tried both the LC Passion boot and the Miz Mooz Kaila and they were too big on my 12.5 - 13" calves. I think that Duo is my only option.

Beth -- those are great-looking! Did they fit you without having to cinch in the buckle? This the price range I was hoping for, so I may have to try them out.

Thanks for the link. Given that they claim to have a 14-inch calf, I would never have bothered looking at these without a personal recommendation.

Miz Mooz makes boots that are narrower in the calf. My calf is 12" and these fit perfectly (and are much better looking than the picture shows) even though they're stated to be 14":
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....0&P=1

In fact, they're the only boots I've found yet that fit so snugly. Of course, it would figure that I planned to wear them with tucked jeans!

I believe I've seen black riding boots in this brand, too.

according to this chart ,I can easly fit into a childrens size..."_ And the calf is 11 1/2.....those are super cute, but won't work with my wardrobe...but the search is on thanks to you ,I am going to search everywhere...I looked at Nordies ..Steve Madden has the perfect pair. but the wrong color....I won't find a high heel of course, but the wedge heel is all over the kids boots....Thanks for the suggestion, this could work:)

Taylor, I wear a 6-6.5 and I think it's the equivalent of a "big girl" 4.5 (or maybe 5). They definitely carry kids' shoes in our size.

Stuart Weitzman, Donald Pliner and Cole Haan do 12 inch-calf-circumference boots. Prada and Gucci do 11.5 and LC has a pretty good section too.

I'm so glad this thread has retained some life because I really want to find well-fitting boots! And I want Taylor and everyone else to find them too...

The $400- 500 range is beyond my means at present but I will certainly check out La Canadienne. Also, Joy, I went to the Aerosoles site but they don't offer circumference information. I will look on another site that does (though now I mistrust online measurements since they seem to be so often incorrect.)

Maya, what I am looking for is a classic black riding boot. Low-heeled without being totally flat (say an inch and a half heel). So far, buckles have not helped much, either because the gap was too big or the leather too substantial to be yanked in.

<Sigh.>

Garmenta,

Thanks so much") that was my fear...If my foot was a sz. 5 I think it would work though. Feeling a little like" Olive Oyl " about now...remember her:)

They cut it off so that girls have to jump into womens sizes...more expensive that way, better for the retailer I guess.

Taylor--
I found this chart that lets you compare foot length for women's and children's sizes. It looks as though a women's 6 1/2 or 7 is bigger than the largest kid's shoe sizes. Too bad...Take a look. http://www.softmoc.com/us/shoesize.asp

We'll all keep searching for options for you.

Funny, my husband suggest childrens stuff all the time...I am 5'4 so I am too tall for the pants...but I swear those childrens jcrew cashmere sweaters do appeal:)

I would consider a childrens boot with a 1 or 2 inch wedge for tucking my jeans ,but want heels for my skirts ...thanks..I hadn't thought of that...my foot isn't that small though...6 1/2 or 7....I wonder what that is in childrens sizes, must do my homework:)

Taylor, you may raise an eyebrow at this suggestion, but I'm curious if you have ever tried kids' boots? I honestly can't tell the difference between adult and "big kid" shoes in terms of style, but my guess is the calf would be smaller. I doubt you'll find any with a 3"+ heel (thankfully, gross!), but if you're ever in the market for flat boots or a low heel, it might be worth a look.

Laura, I find LC to vary a lot though they have all been on the narrow side. I just wasn't sure if they would be narrow enough for April.

Thanks Angie, I have considered slouchy boots, and have looked and tried on,but I guess I just haven't found the right pair.
I have a pair of Carlos mid calf boots...but still too big to tuck. I thought mid calf would work because honestly the mid calf is wider than the area below the knee where a boot ususally hits.

I think I will just have to find the perfect boot and alter.:(

Admittedly I just scanned all the replies, but it seemed as if no one had mentioned La Canadienne, which is fairly narrow, isn't it? I have a pair that fit my 12 1/2-inch calves fine, and the price is more like $200 than $400.

Taylor, a 10 inch calf is very narrow, but you could get a 12 inch boot and have the circumference altered. Have you considered slouch styles? Those won’t need to be altered.

Angie,

What designers have them in the 4 to 5 hundred range...do they have a heel? are they pretty? Not looking for anything sturdy, or cowboyish(have those) or with buckles(have those) or any details at alll . For now my boots must be hidden under pants:(
Just a pretty oval shaped toe with at least a 3 inch or higher heel with a very narrow calf.I want something to tuck my jeans into, or wear with a skirt. I would be interested in a stretch leather as well. I would be willing to spring for something if it was perfect:) Ankle size might come into play here too...:(

My calves are 13 inches and I have the hardest time finding anything affordable, so I can't imagine the trouble you have with smaller circumference! Anyway, I just bought a pair of Eric Michael Lola boots (all thanks to Tanya!) and they fit pretty well - and the fit is more forgiving since they are slouchy. Other than that I can only commiserate
