I have an Android and love it! I primarily use my phone for texting, facebook, twitter, and schedule organization through my Google calender. The Android platform is designed and implemented through Google, so if you have a gmail email account, all of your contacts and calender info will automatically sync and your gmail account will notify you of incoming email. i love this phone and the Verizon network. I currently have an LG Ally, but would really like the Droid X. I ultimately choose my Android phone so I could view video content for school, which wasn't supported on the iPhone platform (flash). I also have an iPod touch (very similar platform to the iPhone), and can only say really amazing things about it, too. I will say, had the iPhone supported Flash, I would have gotten one hands down.
