Hi Angie.

I have recently started ordering on-line and have been pleased. I've also found a good local tailor so I can alter any future purchases (my mom sews so I know what to look for). Anyway, I've recently lost my baby weight from my second son so I'm pretty much starting over. I've been reading all your archives and trying to incorporate these strategies in my new purchases.

I would love to wear dresses but I'm having trouble finding any that meet my requirements of relatively inexpensive but washable and that allow me to bend over and scoop up my children.

I'm trying to buy quality (where possible) over quantity but there is still a definite need in my wardrobe for disposable items at this time. I have been trying to stay away from t-shirts when I buy knits (thanks to your great blog entry you referenced above). I've purchased some more structured pieces and have been scouting my TJ Maxx for trendy but not over the top wardrobe pieces.

Welcome Dani!

Pants for 5ft 10 gals are easy to find. You need to order on-line. Do you do this? Unfortunately it’s a little extra work, but well worth it. Also, jeans with 34 to 35 inch inseams are also relatively easy to get hold of. It’s a question of how much you’re willing to spend. But it sounds like you have your jeans sorted.

Are you prepared to wear dresses and have you read this blog entry?

Hi all. I wanted to introduce myself and join in all the fun on the YLF forums. I'm Dani and I live in Tennessee. I've been learning so much over the last month by reading the blog and I want to try to incorporate some of the ideas into my own wardrobe.

I have the opposite problem of many of you here as I'm 5'10" and finding pants that qualify as the right length is my biggest problem. I've recently found a few that work and I have become more discriminating about what I purchase.

I’m also mostly at SAHM of two pre-school age little boys so buying really nice things is currently not an option, especially if I can’t throw it into the washing machine. I’m trying to incorporate some style into my daily life as I used to be in the corporate work force so I’m used to dressing somewhat sharp. I don’t want to live in jeans but I have a few that I really like and wear them pretty regularly. I would love to have the variety of white jeans but that day will come in the not too distant future.

I think I’m a rectangle although I have a larger than average bust (I will try to post some pictures later) so I might be a straight hourglass. My fashion persona is primarily modern classic and sporty natural but I do like to try new things and have some boho and artistic tendencies.

I would love to hear any ideas about some wardrobe basics that will let me express some style but not be afraid to jump in puddles or pull out all the finger paints Thanks!
