I like the neckline as is. You can always layer a t-neck underneath, but this neckline will let you wear it for a longer season. Suz, thank you for your kind words. You are right, somewhere, it does sink in. You are such a compassionate person! I am very touched. I guess my woe is that in these past months I saw myself in pants and thought "Ugh!" but then quickly reassured myself with the thoughts they were low rise and that with my long rise that's why I looked chubby in the thighs... but now these are long rise, higher waist, in a very classic cut, and I still look like I am bursting out of them in my problem area... although everywhere else they are a bit too large. I just think Why is my body so disproportionate? I feel... indecent. Then that's when I remember I'm probably seeing it wrong. I think I must keep trying outfits with these until I feel better in them. I never thought I would be wearing twill, let alone in brown of all horrors, yet these (maybe because they are from SC) seemed acceptable on me. They seem to fit my long rise. Now I wonder if they aren't too tight (in the behind). I completely hate my body at this point, but I know part of it is only my own brain's distortion. I am also introducing to you the sweater I made with wool that was presented to me for Christmas. My own creation! I thought about making something matching the Kibbe's "Soft Gamine" description, which seemed to fit me best. I used 4 1/2 balls of Noro silk and wool yarn mix. It's very breathy, and it was a real pleasure to knit. I used oversized needles, so a cami is a must underneath. I have found my navy cami to go well with it. (And with brown). I also got wool to do a neckline but in the end I prefer it raw like this. What do you think? Thanks for looking!
