I'm Mary.</p> <p>I used to work crazy hours as a software developer. Back then there was money but no time! Since I worked in an IT shop with a lot of nerds, fashion didn't seem to matter much either (that was the excuse I used anyway!)</p> <p>My job was eliminated two years ago and there's still 12% unemployment in our town. </p> <p>We were working towards the goal of me retiring early anyway so we decided I would stay quit.</p> <p>Now I have time but we don't have extra money right now. So I'm here trying to learn everything I can. I sew and I imagine I'll be putting those skills to use along with perhaps trying to thrift some purchases too.</p> <p>Our house will be paid off relatively soon (thank you Dave Ramsey) and then perhaps I'll have time and money to do some shopping!</p> <p>For now, I'm going to jump in and start reading what people have to say. If you see a vote from me, take it with a grain of salt because I'm pretty fashion challenged! On a good day, I wore a twin set, string of pearls, dress trousers and flats to work. </p>
