I never liked the vibe in the store, but have had good luck online. </p> <p>I needed a pair of dress pants for an impromptu event last summer, and found the crepe fabric nice and light and not too sweaty. Loved that the pants did not need alterations (a rarity for me). </p> <p>I have picked up a few Aritzia pieces since then and have been happy with the quality. But not the rest of the clothing -- or not all of it, at any rate. Fits vary from bodycon to fluid to oversized. I will say that most of their "tailored" pieces (i.e. jackets) tend to be on the slouchier or at least "looser" side, not crisp or sharp, because they often make use of crepe fabrics in their dressier items.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Lisa</b>, that's so funny. I should bring my kid with me into the store, too, and see what happens! They do have awful sale policies -- agreed. It's a case of -- go in early in the season, try it on, know what you want, and pounce when you can. Or buy early and pay full price.&nbsp;</p> <p>I had not actually tried the new pants on before buying but I was careful with measurements and used their "what size should I wear" thingie on the web site. I'm wearing two sizes up from my normal size. Whatever.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Irina,</b> I like my Aritzia puffers, too. I have the lighter weight ones (litte puff) because that's all I really need out here. (And anyway, I still have my big parka from Ontario for when it is bitter cold). The one thing I wish they had was a phone pocket. That is not a feature of these styles. But I really love the lightweight nature and how easy they are to pack. I've been looking at the brand for years, but my only piece is a secondhand Wilfred Cocoon coat. Wonderful quality for the price point. I get the impression that outerwear is perhaps their strongest suit. I've been on the verge of buying the Ganna shirt jacket a few times, but the colours tend to be a little off for me. I like muted neutrals, but Aritzia's palette can skew<i>&nbsp;too</i>&nbsp;washed-out and muddy. And now I feel like that particular garment may have reached the point of over-saturation. I see a lot of them in both New England and Quebec... Their down parka line-up is also very appealing. I came close to buying one last year but went with a similarly-spec'd Lole parka instead. For whatever reason, their other apparel hasn't caught my eye. I can wear anything from an XS to an L there , or a 2 to a 10. The first time I went into the big glitzy new store I used my daughter as a shield , literally . It was absolute mayhem in there ( grand reopening ) and she and I just atumbled around with our mouths hanging open in awe . I felt like the country bumpkin having just fallen from the turnip truck . I was more comfortable in the original store as I knew a few of the SA’s and knew how the store “ worked “ / where everything was . I agree that their online operation is great , but they have the worst return policies ( short window , sale items are final sale , etc) . I don't. like their in-store service (in the stores I frequent, at least) but I DO like their online ordering process -- delivery is fast, items well packaged, etc. I find their quality is middling to excellent (somewhat line dependent) and the pieces I've owned over the years have been interesting and useful. I'll keep shopping there, probably. Especially since they carry Citizens jeans and those go on sale there sometimes.&nbsp;</p> <p>Sizing is not equivalent to other box stores like BR or J. The infamous Effortless Pant is indeed beautiful but it’s fully pleated ! I am flabbergasted that that many women can wear pleated pants . That , combined with the importance the TikTok influencers are for their market ( I didn’t word that very well ) makes me feel aged out of the store ( or wrong-bodied somehow ) .I used to buy a lot more than I do now because the pants and silk tops , blazers , cardigans etc were perfect work pieces . It’s a lot trendier now and the quality isn’t always there . They also tend to repeat certain cuts and styles ad nauseum and the store often felt stale . Wpg built a huge new store though last year ( to replace the one we had for years ) and it’s leaps and bounds better than the old one . It even has a cafe ! But in the two times I’ve set foot in it , I’m the oldest person in it by far. </p> <p>Irina, I also have two of those scarves and don’t wear them .
