You're probably right Zaeobi! No, I don't remember the brand, someone mustv'e posted about it here a long time ago.

Oh interesting @suntiger - can you remember the brand/ company name?

I'd be worried that changing a load bearing part of the shoe (the heel) might not be safe - not because of the company, but rather my own human error in putting it together!

Similar to a company I saw doing shoes that convert heels to flats. That would come in more useful to me than changing the uppers.
Enclosed shoe to sandal would be good too!

As someone who wears sandals May - Oct (subtropical climate), I'd be willing to try this out if only they had:
a) flatter sole options (with traction)
b) warmer (closed) & 'nude' coloured uppers

I imagine those two tweaks alone would make the shoes appeal to a wider audience.

Also, isn't part of the wisdom behind at least alternating between 2 pairs of shoes so that the soles can 'breathe' between wears? I can see why you might not want to do that for travel specifically, but otherwise this could get old fast for those of us in warm climates.

It is a really neat idea if a person finds the soles comfortable. The only thing that bothers me is that they seem to be exclusively sandals. I've got comfortable, go-with-everything sandals. What I would love is a shoes that could convert from an enclosed shoe to a sandal!

The idea of convertible items is appealing, but the reality is that people find one (favourite) way of wearing the thing, and don’t often switch up. I think the only thing I ‘convert’ is the strap on a small cross body, and even then I go through long periods of using one strap before I change it up to another!

Those look 'great in theory' but 'in real life' maybe not so much.

This concept depends on your approach to clothes.
This is a level of fussiness that I wouldn't want. I wouldn't take the time to decide an upper, much less change the upper out.

That stiff sole would be a deal breaker for me.

Right now, my shoes tend to be workhorses in neutral colors. I used to have more variety and more color in my wardrobe, but I could never manage all that variety.

I'm sure there is someone who dresses brilliantly, who lives in a warmer climate, and wears dresses and sandals all the time, who loves to play with shoe color in the morning, and who can walk in a still heel, and who will appreciated all this choice.

I agree with cat2 about changing shoes. These have too much heel for me these days but I think heels are sneaking back.

They look interesting. However, I’m always skeptical of this kind of thing, as I am of any item that is supposedly convertible — it always seems like only one or two variations are truly useful so the item doesn’t truly live up to the promise.

I remember many year ago there were sandals that had changeable straps — Mohops or something like that?

Good for storage, but It’s the soles that usually wear out, so I think space is the only savings. I wonder how secure they are. Could possibly be great for travel!

Those are cool if you like the uppers! I remember Jenn looking at some convertible shoes that changed from flats to heels easily a couple of years back, but I don’t think she ended up getting them.
Personally I am not keen on slides so that rules several of these out for me.

I have seen uppers that slide onto multiple different bottoms, so you can add a heel. I never went for them because my feet are happiest if I change lasts each day. I wear a few vendors and alternate them.

This keeps popping up on my socials:
It’s an interesting idea. Has anyone tried these, or seen any other companies doing something similar?
