But in the last couple of years, I've done VERY well in that department. I realized that fabric affects the fit ALOT when it comes to Shorts. Denim shorts are always easiest to fit for me...I now own 6 pairs. Try denim cut offs....I think you'll find them easier to wear/fit compared to cotton or linen shorts. (I say this because we have such a similar body type, and I suspect we might even be the same/similar size on the bottom). I like Gap denim shorts with stretch. Another brand that works well for me is Vero Moda (maybe u can find it). </p> <p>Thanks Peacechick! I know just what u mean about straw hats flopping down! I usually buy my hats on beach vacations (that's where u get the best ones at the best prices too). This one is from a roadside stall in Thailand. But I can recommend H&amp;M for straw hats too. I already have a huge collection from my beach vacations, otherwise I'd get one from H&amp;M too. I have been wearing them since February (summer came too early in 2016) and now that it's cooling down, I'm not wearing shorts at all. I'm soooo DONE! So I needed some fresh inspiration, since I'm going to have to take shorts to the beach. </p> <p>Here's what inspired me. I liked both these outfits and decided to recreate them for this holiday, since I want to pack light and want to only carry 1 pair of shorts. </p> <p>For outfit# 1, I even tried the scarf-as-belt idea and quite liked the results! Since I'm carrying just 1 beach bag, I added a colorful punch to outfit #2 with sandals. </p> <p>These are my 2 rain sandals (translation: they're flip flops) and they're both going with me. </p> <p>What do you think of these outfits? I don't do 'inspired' outfits often, but quite like these 2! </p>
