She makes her own jewellery and one of the things she does is repurpose bracelets as necklaces. That started me playing around with my bracelets to see if they could be adapted as necklaces. Fortunately with this one, it was just a matter of using the bracelet clasp to clip it onto an old circlet necklace that I already had. Even the golds matched. I can unclip it from the necklace and still use it as a bracelet. I do think it kind of makes the outfit here. I love finding new ways to wear things.</p> <p>And the comments about the Grecian vibe to the outfit (not planned by me) are intriguing. They made me think about GK’s beautiful (ombré!) dress in To Catch a Thief. One of my all time favourites. It also has a Grecian vibe. All that length, volume and drape. Now I’m wondering if “Grecian” is a theme I could play with a bit this summer. It is a linen blend in the basque waist style that I like. And asymmetrical! I love asymmetrical skirts and they are quite hard to find now. It was cream. But I dyed it a greenish gold. My sandals have also been treated with gold polish.</p> <p>The gold necklace is actually a bracelet. My version of pearls. It has a nice patina and spiky texture and leans more into the “dirty” gold colours of the skirt.</p> <p>My other key accessories were fake tan and bronzer :)</p> <p>Happy holidays! </p>
