I just painted it on and presto, new shoes.</p> <p>I've just found a mid-blue houndstooth skirt in the cupboard that works really well with these and a navy turtleneck. It was $10 a bottle and I used half a bottle.&nbsp;They suggested I use an artist's paint brush rather than the brush in the bottle, as you can achieve a neater edge with a stiff brush, and they were right. It is different to use compared to the leather dye as it instantly soaks right in, and you get a great finish too. I had a pair of dusty pink shoes that I must have bought about ten years ago; I never really wore them much, mostly because of the heel and the dusty-pinkness of them. Obviously I can't change the heel, but I thought I'd dye them navy and see if I will wear them more now. They're dressier than the things I wear daily, but everyone needs some fancy navy shoes with Valentine's Day coming up, right?</p> <p>I forgot to take 'before' pics, but here are the 'after' shots. I'm very happy with them and do think I'll reach for them more often now.&nbsp; </p>
