I like fact this look stops the scarf flapping around too much. Could definitely come in handy in a lot of situations. I'm not a belter though, so wouldn't try it out for myself. I like the way you have done it though!

I really like these colours on you, very flattering. And I'm glad to read that you will be using your scarf more, because it really suits you!

Thanks so much for the comments/compliments!! Joy - as a small-breasted woman, drawing attention there is not always a bad thing(ha ha kidding!!).
As for the pants length - maybe I could go shorter on the heel, but I'm real sensitive to Proper Pants Length, and I really feel that these are as close as I'm going to get. They come pretty close to skimming the ground...
And I'm pretty sure that's the style of the pants - they fit perfectly in the rear end - probably better than any other pants I own.
I will have to try the Angie knot with that scarf. I am thrilled that I tried wearing it - my sister gave it to me, and I've just never thought I could pull it off.
But with all of your suggestions, I feel more confident, so thanks everyone!

I like how the scarf and sweater set go together, colorwise. I think if you wear the scarf as shown in the photo, it will elongate your neckline.

Styling the scarf like the inspiration photo sounds like a good idea. As you are wearing it, the eye is drawn directly to your breasts. If your scarf is too long to wear as in the photo, you might leave it as you are wearing it around your neck, just taking the long parts and tucking them under the center of the belt. This scarf also looks like it could be worn beautifully using the Angie knot. It's a beautiful scarf and the colors look so good on you.
Have you tried those pants with flats? They look too short for the heels that you are wearing. They also look like they might be too big.

I find belted scarves a strange concept too. Perhaps it might work better if done like in the picture? I think AJ has belted scarves before and pulled it off I think she styles it like in the inspiration picture x

OK this is a style I swore I'd avoid, but I gave it a try when I saw how great this scarf looked with my gold sweater set. I don
t think I quite pulled it off, but i think it has possibilities. Someone suggested belting the scarf like the example photo, and then the belt might work. What do you think?
