I am encouraged that one of these will work. Heading to the drug store tomorrow to see what they might have in stock. Thank you all for your advice

I use these that I found at the pharmacy in my sandals https://www.drscholls.com/prod.....nsinsoles/
Usually I am difficult to please but these are small enough they don't show and they seem to be doing the trick.

I fit a thinner, partially clear insole into those sandals and it worked well.
Likely someone would have to be on the floor to notice them. If you are just worried about heel comfort, that might be the best sandal style for hiding a cushioned heel cup. My insoles went 3/4 of the length of the sandal as I didn't want any pressure around the toes. Keep the insoles narrow to avoid overhang.

I'll try to find out the brand; I have lots of insoles and can't check right now.

I struggle with this because I need insoles due to a tendon injury. I found if the back heel portion is long enough toward the front of the shoe the insole is mostly hidden. Otherwise it bothers me if they show. I thought about spray painting and may do that this year.

I have a pair of air pufs that aren't a full insole that I wear with sandals. I was kind of surprised how much I liked them (added to a pair before using in Vegas, and think they actually helped without sliding too much). With sandal season approaching, I may try to get another pair or two.

Dr. Scholl's -- good idea! am browsing their website. My concern is mostly with my heel comfort - and it looks like they have a couple of options. I just can't tell if they would show while I was wearing the shoe.

I use Dr. Scholl's ball of foot cushions. They don't show as long as you don't take your shoe off.

I have put insoles in closed shoes before, but never sandals. A new pair of shoes I've purchased might feel better if I had a cushioning insole, but not sure what to buy if anything.

Have you ever used an insole in an "open" type of shoe and if so what type?
