I love the in and out lists. They are completely irrelevant to me though. Dated isn't much more useful to me. I opted out of winter 15, and I'll be doing the same with ss16. Things often do become personally dated to me. I'm kinda over sporty luxe at the moment, except for the tree shirt. The right pair of kick flares or straights could make their way into my closet.

Every season we see the ins and outs lists. For the most part these seem to be wishful thinking of those who think they can influence the rest of us. Many times I have seen something on the "out" list that was actually a big trend. comes to mind a fashion columnist in my local paper said maxi skirts were out. Turned out that year they were seen everywhere, and especially the younger set.

This year mules and slides are supposed to be in-well to me for one thing they are worn a lot by "old ladies" in my area. I definitely will not wear them!!!!! Remember when the slides came out in the 90's. I thought they were cool-no heel slipping and no blisters-bought a pair immediately. flats-very cool, until the first and last wearing. wore them to a friends B day party-parked car at curb, walked across lawn to front door-and the shoes stayed in the yard-my feet just slid right out-so that is what slides are, OK--

I am thinking I am like most on here seem to be-and that is more concerned with what is 'actually out or dated than the latest biggest trends
