The fit looks perfect to me. I like the necklace with the cardigan. I usually wear a thin tee with my cardigans.

Love it! I think the fit is perfect.

I ordinarily wear cardigans over tees but not so much over other sweaters. If I do wear them over another sweater, the sweater has to be quite thin and very form-fitting.

This slots into your palette and desire to try new shapes perfectly. I think the color blocking, with a change right at your bustline, and the lighter color on top, subtlety makes your chest look a little bigger. A husband might like that effect.
Sweater sets are tricky, but not impossible. Have you tried fitted sweaters with this cardi?

It looks stunning on you and definitely the right size! The whole outfit is great. I wear my 3 long cardigans as “sweaters”, I wear longsleeved tops underneath them in autumn winter and spring. I also like the long line of them. None of my 3 do up and that’s fine for me. On a much colder day ( rare in my part of NZ) I would not wear them but would pull a jumper ( sweater) over my head.

What everyone else has said! I have had more like a coatigan that I have worn over sweaters (looser fit, chunkier etc) but finer gauge cardigans I wear over tees (short and long sleeve) or over a dress. I mostly wear them either

- in the summer or transitional seasons over light weight dresses or tees for another layer
- at home in the winter for working, weekend wear etc. I might layer over the cardigan with a puffer.

I like this on you and hope you enjoy wearing it!!

The fit is great, and the cardigan looks very good on you. I think a larger size would look much too big.

I love cardigans, but hate fussing with pulling them on over sleeves... way too much adjusting required. I usually wear cardigans with a light-weight tank top or shell to avoid this problem. Like some others, I really prefer a cardigan that has buttons. Otherwise, I keep fussing with the drape.

The fit looks good to me! I've worn cardis over sweaters with no problem- but neither layer is thick, just cotton. I may be in the minority but I prefer sweaters without buttons- at least on me. Just a simple long line without extra clutter.

This is a good fit. Looks lovely! Go Team Hubs!

Wear thinner tees, shirts and blouses under cardigans like this. Blouses that are slippery are really easy under cardigans. Less friction. Or sleeveless tops. Pop coats over the top.

You look very nice - it's consistent with your casual, polished look. The open cardigan works well with the hi-rise button fly jeans. The buttons look like jewelry!
I have not been reaching for traditional cardigans this past year, but I wear my Athleta wraps (5 colors) daily.

In my family we call cardigans that you wear over other sweaters “kitchen sweaters”, because when i was growing up our kitchen was the coldest spot in the house and it was the late 70s so oil prices were really high, so if we complained about being cold, my dad’s answer was to put on another sweater. So the coat closet in the kitchen housed over sized cardigans, and dinner always found me wearing one.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane

YES, it is for me... When the top knit sticks like velcro to the bottom knit and twists around, it makes my skin crawl! Thin merino sweaters can work, if they are slippy enough. Knit-on-knit stickiness works fine if I am stationary at home, but if I have errands where I am in and out of a car, or doing more active things at home, I have to wear something else.

Very pretty on you! I too prefer to wear cardigan over lighter pieces - may do tank top plus tee plus cardigan as a way to feel warmer. I'd like to see slightly darker color option for under layering top ( versus white ) - for more dramatic effect - but all is fine for relaxed/at home look.

I think your DH is absolutely right - this is your size cardigan and you should not size up, it fits you very well. This is a straight cut cardigan and I don’t think it was meant to be oversized. As for wearing a sweater under a cardigan, I sometimes wear a merino or a thin cashmere t-shirt under cardigans but never a sweater.

I love this on you and the fit looks great, IMO. I have not tried to wear a cardi over another sweater - I prefer a bit of slip, else I feel claustrophobic when the fabrics stick together (like unlined fleece over knits--eek!), so I can't weigh in on wearing one that way. In any case, this is a fab colorway and style on you. Cut the tags!

ooh, I love it. This is exactly how I like my long cardis to fit. I don't think I've ever worn one over a sweater--only over a shell or dress. The thought of sweater on sweater seems bulky--to me at least unless it was over a sleevless sweater shell a la twin set. I think sizing up would overwhelm you. This is perfection!

I like the fit - it looks great on you. I am not into cardigans currently, have only one that is part of a twin set - and I do wear it sometime over it’s matching sweater. Because I get cold so easily, I like to have option to wear it over sweater too, but YMMV. On the other hand, I can never get cardigans or sweaters over button down shirts - it is always bunching and feels constricting.
