Those pants are great. I think those are keepers. I hope they are a bit on the mustard side. I love the work shirt with the red sweater.

Thanks for all the comments. I am going to work these caramel pants and see if they earn a place in my closet. I think taking them out of this restricted group might be helpful. I have a dark almost cobalt blue sweater, an emerald green sweater, some creams and darker gray items that might work. And maybe other reds or burgundy items?

The black tweedy jacket is an odd piece. It's kind of bulky and woven from a kind of yarn, not knit. It feels almost like a sweater. This is a size small, which is still a bit big on me, but is very warm in super cold weather.

How do you tiny gals find clothes?? Sometimes I just can't find anything small enough for my narrow shoulders and average chest, but with enough wiggle room in the waist area. When an extra small is like a giant caftan and I'm not that little, I can't figure out how petite and tiny ladies ever buy anything.

I love everything with every outfit you posted.
Don't see anything wrong with the color of the tan pants.
If I have reservations is with the dress that doesn't seem to have much structure to it.But it might serve as a good layering piece.

Good looking outfits, the individual pieces are very nice. I like the color of the pants, they're vibrant but not too much so.

I think the pants are great - the fit is fab and the camel color looks fabulous with grey. But since some people are describing them as mustard, I wonder if we're all seeing slightly different colors?

I'm puzzled by the denim shirt - what happens if you unroll the sleeves?

Cjh, the pants look camel to me. It's a nice, warm color and the fit is good. I really like outfits nos. 4, 11 and 13. How about pairing the trousers with a cobalt top?

Wow, this is so inspirational! I really think you've nailed it here. The outfits are fab, and i think the pants have great fit, and the color is good, too. They are not too bright, and can bend towards reds, browns and grays very easily. The mustard/gray combination really works! I also love how you've styled your dress - #9 is really good, making it more casual. The dress isn't really playing with any of the other items in the BR-ad, you are right about that. Well done, indeed.

The jewl cardi, the microcheck pants, and the tunic are all a 10, to my eye!

I like the camel pants, but i LOVE the microcheck! My vote is to return the camel and look for something with less gold in it; they're a fabulous fit and I love how you've styled them and tied in the colour with the scarf, but by comparison, the microcheck work in with your colour pallette so much better.

I think you will end up with a more versatile capsule by working with the other pieces and adding something that tones in better with them.

Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks....and well done with styling, you have a great eye for how to work these pieces.

Wow. I love them all. My only nit is that maybe you need a long sleeve denim shirt? Otherwise. Love, love love! And keep the pants. I like that they are a tad mustard rather than camel. It's like you're subtly, tastefully adapting the colored pants trend. And the pants not only fit well, but color coordinate quite nicely with everything. Imagine jeans or black pants instead? Not so fab as these.

You make a good point about the dress in the BR example. I like how you layered to give it more style mileage.

I love every outfit with the printed cardigan! I think the pants are great - camel is classy and looks great with the red sweater. i am not as excited about the tweedy jacket...looks kind of bulky - that is the only thing I would return. The jumper is awesome - really cute and suits you with the belt or without. I actually like the grey top woth the camel pants. Looks preppy and again - a touch of class. Good work!

It's work isn't it?? I love #8 and your expression in it! Did you find the proportions or fabrications weren't always what you would have chosen in some of the combos? I ran across that some.

I can say this was an educational exercise. I received new pants that I needed to try out anyway. I am not sure of the color - it's yellower than I expected. Kind of wanted a tanner camel like my Halogen skirt. Should I keep these? I like the fit.

I picked these items after carefully studying the BR choices and stylings.
1. black mini check slacks
2. new caramel slacks (wrinkly from package folds)
3. black pencil skirt
4. black knit loose sheath dress
5. gray/black stripe t-sweater
6. dark red sweater (looks redder in photos than IRL)
7. denim short sleeve shirt - pretty much an orphan so any more hints to style it will be very welcome.
8. print cardigan
9. black/white tweedy knit jacket
10. brown oxfords

Added: scarf, necklace, black shooties, leopard belt,2 pr. tights.
Subtracted: trench. If it's cold, I wear a coat (sort of a duh?)

#1-3 my items.
#4 shirt felt lumpy under sweater. Is this too many colors with these pants?
#5 Not sure about the length of the shirt.
#6 Kind of like this gray and caramel combination - the scarf ties them together.
#7 added topper
#8 black dress over striped sweater - I like it, but what about this necklace?
#9 Not so good with the denim shirt.
#10 - too dull?
#11-13 the red feels better with these slacks.

I didn't take any photos with the pencil skirt - seemed rather redundant to do the same tops/combos.

Likes: wearing this knit dress as a jumper; tan and gray look better than I thought.
Reservations: I just don't really see that the dress in the BR selections does much for that collection - it's either a plain dress, or a dress with a jacket.

Thanks, Ingunn, for your inspiration! Comments and suggestions welcome, everyone!
