Perhaps experiment with this by pulling one of your other skirts down? I think midi skirts look the best with higher heels if your calves are on the bigger side (like mine) and this makes them not very attractive for me. Due to my lifestyle I do not wear high heels very often which means midi skirts can be orphans in my wardrobe. Play around with different styles of belts and tucking shirt combinations. Look for one that is just below your knee and above your calf. For me that is a flattering length.
