Everlane u-neck. Ryan style runs quite big in my experience. (I like the V-neck style best, but it's not necessarily a fluid fit.)

I LOVE the fit of Joe Fresh's silk Tee. It is perfect on me in medium, gliding over my sizeable hip/thigh area - I usually need a large shirt these days, or find the mediums less than fluid anyway. I got the navy, unfortunately the light blue was a bit sheer as I imagine the other light colours will be.

https://www.joefresh.com/Categ.....WT2237_001

Since we have some Torontonians and target shoppers on this thread, has anyone seen this collection in-store? I like the blue silky track pants

BTW, if you're looking for a basic underlayer for summer, the Everlane Ryan tanks are great. They fit extremely well and for some reason, the neckline is just fine on the tanks. And the straps are nice and wide.

Also, never discount J.Crew! This looks like exactly what you want:
https://www.jcrew.com/womens_c...../08698.jsp

However, at this point, they are mostly sold out of sizes and colors. But the fit is perfect and the price - well, these were on sale for a few months, plus additional sale discounts got the price quite low. So just a tip to always check J.Crew sales, too. :-)

I'm hoping they restock this style, and also provide a short sleeved version, because it's a good shirt. Nice and drapey, and didn't shrink. And again, wait for the sales!

Just wanted to add:

I bought GAP's fluid T's from last season, they are awesome for first wear, but I put in the wash on warm (forgot!) and they definitely shrunk. So just take care when laundering.

Re: Everlane, the Ryan tees are very drapey, but the neckline on the short sleeved shirt is really wide. So if that bothers you, just a heads up. Otherwise, a great shirt at a very nice price. (Based on the pic you posted, I think you'd be interested in the Ryan tees, not the cotton ones.) I haven't tried the long sleeved version yet.

Good luck on the hunt! Let us know what you find!

Ok, I'm now in love with Alternative Apparel and Everlane, which I never even heard of before! Thank you!

Kimberley, which tees were they, do you know - Mossimo brand? We have a Target just around the corner; might zip over before pick-up time :)

Thanks all!

I got two at Target (Canadian Target, that is) earlier this week. Comfy, drape nicely and wash/dry with ease. Not investment pieces, but I am quite happy with them so far.

Hi everyone,

My thick skull has finally opened up to the reality of fluid fits ... I'd like to start playing around with a few t's to go under some of my more conservative cardis, as I thought that might work for my style (thoughts welcome if I'm getting the mix wrong!!)

Looking through the posts and I see a lot of people like the J. Crew linen t's, but those are a little pricey for me. Anyone know of any good cheapie option to layer under things?

Thank you! PS - If there's already a whole thread about this, if someone could direct me that would be great - I did search but sometimes miss things!! Thx :)

For fun - photo attached is a store window display I admired that finally made me realize I was going to have to get on this train. The shirt shown is a poly blouse though, so not good for me personally. Minus one accessory and I thought the outfit looked like me though.
