This was in the mid 40s, and she ended up going to work and eventually marrying my dad rather than going to school, but she was always interested in anything art-related, and later on studied interior design. </p> <p>One of these days I want to frame a few of her drawings. My Fashion History teacher was a costumer at Disneyland, and told us that if anyone needed a summer job to put her name down as a contact on their application- which I did. I spent 4 years working in the wardrobe department at Disneyland, and continued studying costume until I met my husband and decided that I wanted kids. I saw my costuming teacher juggling her career (she was both running the program at the college and working as a costumer at the same time) and her young children and husband, and I just didn't want to do that. I enjoy working backstage at dance recitals once a year, but I don't think that I would ever want to go back into design as a profession.
