Thanks for the feedback ladies!

@Gigi: first thing I did was check customer reviews and there were no real reports on sagging - which is good so far! Oh I also looked up the fabric composition when trying the jeans on: it's only 1% spandex! Interesting because I can move around in those jeans and they certainly fit my comfort requirements! My low rise AE's tend to dig when I had a large meal.

I have a pair of INC jeans -- black with a white tuxedo stripe up each side, so I don't know if the fabric is the same as their other denim. I have not worn them a ton, but they seem to wash well. I do find that they stretch out with wear, so I would not buy them too big (I did buy them in the larger of the two sizes I tried and make peace with the resulting relaxed skinny look). They are a little higher rise than I normally wear, so I do get a bit of baggy fit in the crotch area too, but I apparently have a pretty short rise so YMMV.

I had a pair of INC (Macy's brand, right?) jeans that fit me very well. I had no problem with sagging and found the quality good for the price. I didn't wear them for a long period of time because I lost some weight so I can't speak for longevity, but for the short time I wore them, I was very pleased.

I don't have experience with the INC jeans, but I will say that I have heard many people complain about Gap with regard to sagging. I think Gap might be one of the worst offenders.

Are you able to keep the tags on the INC jeans and wear them around the house for a day and see what happens? Or maybe you could call the place where you bought (or will buy) them and tell the SA about your concerns. Maybe they could give you more info on customer reactions or tell you if you would be allowed to return them if they don't meet expectations.

You could also check online at the retailer and see if there are any customer reviews that mention sagging.

I too have AE jeans and am happy with them. I was worried about potential sagging in a pair of jeggings I got from them, and I called the store. The SA said to cut the tags off but save them, and wear the jeans for a day to see what happens. He said as long as I saved the tags, I could return the jeans if I found that they stretched out too much. So maybe the same thing would work for you here--save the tags and maybe you can still return them. (Although if you're unlucky like me, you'll probably spill a can of tomato sauce on them or something and not be able to return them!)

I wonder too about the fabric composition, if that would give any clue. I wonder if a higher spandex content would mean more sagging, as the spandex is what stretches, not the cotton? Maybe someone who has more info on this can chime in.

Long time no see, lovelies! :)

Have any of you tried INC jeans before? I tried on a few pairs earlier today and they fit much much much dreamier than my AE jeans (except for my AE Artist jeans and jeggings) because the higher rise actually girdles the muffin top which leaves me with.... NO MUFFIN TOP!!! However, I've been severely burned by my last experience with the Gap Ultra Skinnies before, so I want to make sure I do my research before I take advantage of this 40% off sale on them right now.

I am very picky with fit on pants and jeans. I am very unforgiving about saggage of any kind: particularly on the bum and the knee, where saggage is prone to happen to me. From my experience with most jeans and pants (like The Gap Ultra Skinnies), they could fit like a dream in the store, but after purchasing and wearing for an hour, the jeans/pants significantly increase in size which leaves me with a saggy bum and saggy legs! The problem is, I have a humungous waist, which makes it nearly impossible (unless it's AE again) for me to find a pair of pants.

So... here are my questions about INCs

How much do they stretch out when wearing?

Where does the stretching happen most?

Are they durable or do they fall apart after a few washes?

I'd really appreciate any input!
