I bought a pair of VC print ponte pants during 2013 or 2012 NAS and they have held up well; no pilling. I don't think they were billed as slim. They are in the bigger of my two sizes and seem to be my VC size which I would say is TTS, unlike NYDJ which tends to run very large.

I got a pair of NYDJ ponte pants last year, but maybe they were a different style. They have pilled badly and are not fit to wear in public. They are polyester, rayon and spandex and are what I would call a slim straight fit in a jean style with zip fly, belt loops and pockets.

I purchased Kut from the Kloth Jennifer Pants from Amazon.com a couple of months ago. I paid about $46. I love them because they are super long. If you are looking for something a bit looser, I second AlaskaGirl's recommendation. The quality is excellent.

i haven't tried the VC pair, but i have the NYDJ that AviaMariah posted. i like them, but IMO they are more legging than pant, and i found them TTS.
i have these AT, which fit more like a skinny jean.
i also have an old pair of Eileen Fisher that i love.

I have the Gap ones, too. (Online only) They are thinnish, but not too ankle-hugging, extremely comfortable, and a nice, rich black.

I've read that the J.Crew version stretches out quite a bit. I had a pair from the Gap that were TTS and held up pretty well and could easily fit into boots.

I've had really good luck with NYDJ ponte pants. They are a higher rise so you have to be ok with not tucking; which is sounds like you are. I have their version from a couple years ago (I duplicated them) and they have held up beautifully. It seems like they have a similar version every year. Mine are probably similar to these. Size down for sure.

The VCs definitely look like a contender for what you are wanting. Can't help you with sizing, tho.
I have the Loft Pintucked Ponte Pants and am very happy with them. They are not too tight in the legs, but skinny enough to look good under tunics. The zip details at the pockets don't stick out under a tunic. Might be worth a look...

Haven't seen those in person so I'm afraid I can't say. I did see some at AT loft that had midrise and were pretty comfy, as another option.

I would like a pair of skinny ponte pants, and these Vince Camuto ones seem like a contender. Has anyone tried them? Sizing? I do not want a legging fit, but I do want them slim enough to tuck into both short and knee-high boots. I would wear tunic-length tops with them. Also, is the rise too low? I would prefer a mid-rise to high-rise, and I do not consider 9-inches to be low-rise as the description says.

Open to suggestions for other brands, too.
