bj1111: Thanks for the links! Hadn't seen AllSaints before, and I liked what I saw (although nothing *quite* fit the bill for my immediate need).

Sveta: I don't have a Costco in my area. Phooey.

But thank you all, and I hope there are more suggestions coming.

I saw great quality merino wool very fine long sleeve tops (looks like tee, not a sweater) in both crew and V necks in Costco last weeked. Price was $15 and I own two of them already - they are very lightweight and good quality.
I live in Canada so I do not know if they have them in US Costco but it maybe worth a check...

I'm waiting for Uniqlo to come out with their Heat Tech line to get layering pieces. They are really lightweight, but keep you warm like a natural fiber would. I bought a couple of things last year and was very pleased with them. I think the line usually comes out in October.

I know, it sounds boring. But it's me. I need to retire some but I don't have replacements yet.

I'm trying to find silk, silk blend, modal, tissue-weight merino (okay, basically anything NOT cotton or polyester) Ts or superlightweight sweaters with elbow or 3/4-length sleeves. V-neck, scoopneck, bateau, anything but crewneck. Price really isn't an issue although I'd prefer something under $50.

All the basic shapes I've found so far are either:

- wrong fabric
- crewneck
- short sleeve
- too short (has to be at least 23.5" for me)

Can anyone help?
