Yes, I have the 25 Ambers being shipped to me. I think they will work; if they don't, I will order and try the others.

Hard to remember now, but I think the Joe's were more of a wider leg. The amber is bootcut but skinnier. I could probably make use of both (!) but I do already have a pair of nice white dress slacks that have a bit of a wider leg. I think they may be hemmed a tad too short though.

When I get my 25's I'll do a try-on and photo session and everyone can vote.

Patience makes a good point Shiny, and remember that you can also cut the pockets out (carefully).

I like white jeans to fit a little less snugly. This makes them look thicker and more classy. And altering the waistband is also a good solution. Can you get hold of a 25 in the amber Citizens?

Oops. I always forget about the rise issue because I don't really trust it without trying it on. These were definitely higher than 6.5 but probably not 8.5.

6.25 front rise is WAY to low on me! I am most comfortable with a 9 inch rise, but I can get away with an 8.5.

Shiny, in my pursuit of white jeans and pants, I tried on a ton and I find them much harder to fit than dark wash. I'm wondering if maybe our eyes are just not adjusted to looking at them on? I feel like white shows flaws more; it definitely seems to show wrinkles more. Having said that, I think you've just got to train your eye and get around it. I ended up with the jcrew matchsticks and I found the jbrand was a pretty similar look on me.

What about these:

I just hit two stores in pursuit of perfect white jeans. I liked these the best:

http://www.pinkmascara.com/pin.....0&

But they didn't have my size. Well, they had a 26 (which is usually my size) but the 26 was too big and did nothing for my butt. These have a 9-inch rise so they were my ideal and uber comfy around the waist.

I also liked these, J Brand 818's... it says here they have an 8-inch rise but it felt higher!!... however I tried the 25 and the 27 and neither was quite right. They didn't have a 26:
http://www.nationaljeancompany.....038;s_sb=2

Finally I hit bloomies, which was out of my size in nearly everything. Sigh!! However, they did have these:
http://www.shopsimplychic.com/.....ey=ST-9960

... which I already have in dark wash. The rise is 8.5, it's "okay" as long as I'm careful what type of top I wear with it. Here's the thing. All they had was a size 24, and it fit me. Makes my butt look teeny tiny!!! And my legs look really thin. But, it's on the tight side, tighter than I'm used to. I can still bend and sit though.

The clerk was insisting they will give and that they are just right. I dunno. I bought them but plan on ordering a 25 to compare, and will return the 24's if the 25's fit better. Because I'm dubious... my dark washes really don't stretch all that much. White jeans could be different though.

I guess I can wear them around the house for a few hours and see if they stretch enough!! The clerk at Bloomie's said I can even wash and dry them and STILL return if I want... that amazed me, that they'll let you do that.
