That's getting harder to do with globalised media and fast fashion. It is France and Italy that are ahead. I live in a mid-sized town in Germany with a relatively low style level. And in the last years I always thought, that fashion is 2-3 years ahead on the other side of the pond (Example: after seeing gladiators on blogs &amp; websites for more then a year I wanted to buy some gladiators but then I had to wait another year until finally the first pairs found their way to Germany)</p> <p>Anyway, here are some pics we took in London two weeks ago. The first two are shop windows on Oxford Street (Dorothy Perkins). The Shops were just bringing in the first autumn merchandise &amp; colour blocking and saturated colours were really big. Mustard yellow, bright orange, cold &amp; dark green etc. Another big trend were black &amp; white items (stipes &amp; checks of all sizes &amp; forms). Almost every shop had flared trousers &amp; midi skirts, but maxi-items were a rare find. </p> <p>The colourful windows with the more eccentric decoration belong to Selfridges. They looked really great in person &amp; almost like a piece of art. The last pic is a giant shoe made entirely out of pots &amp; lids. Often they don't sell at first and can be picked up at deep discount so it's nice to know what to look for.
