It's more manageable now and I know what I should avoid (mainly blowdrying and brushing), so that's not a problem any longer. I never pull my hair back, so I don't really need the length to do an updo or anything. My friends often say I should braid it or something to change it up a bit, but I never managed to do anything with it without looking strange IMO. It was also wavy like yours and looked best loose, but I run hot and having a thick blanket of hair over my neck and shoulders made me sweat like mad. So I'd end up with the hair pulled back most of the time, which was not a great look on me. Long story short (pun not intended), I cut it to shoulder length, and then just kept going shorter with every haircut, eventually ending up with a pixie cut. I never imagined such a short cut could look good on me or work for my wavy hair, but it did. </p> <p>My main point is, don't be afraid to try something different. If you don't like it, you can always grow it out.
