I entered the work force late in life and never imagined I could get marketable skills enough to get work in a big city! I trained as a therapist and now manage mental health programs. The program in LA is extremely similar to the one here in Central California, because it involves giving mental health treatment to children in low income families, paid for by Medi-Cal (a state/federal program)&nbsp;which is known as Medicaid in other states. Now I'll get to be near DD and any future grandkids!</p> <p>I so wanted to post about it, but I needed to keep the situation under wraps till I was ready to tell people at work.</p> <p>Shoutout to two key fabbers who helped me manage my anxiety about what to wear to interviews:</p> <p>--Rae who helped me find possibly the only suit in the Nordy store, when I went shopping that critical week between end-of-season clearance and the start of NAS.</p> <p>--Rachy who kept me from a couple of very expensive mistakes and confirmed to me that the clothes I already had were good enough for the upcoming triple interview. Plus she met me on the spur of the moment when I asked for her help!</p> <p>I'm so glad I can thank them here now!</p> <p>I'm in shock, and I'm exhausted after two days of one-on-ones telling people I'm leaving. But I'm very happy. </p>
