You have to understand that in all the years we've been married we never used the stove for storage, what possessed him to that time I have no idea... The noxious fumes of melting plastics was terrible and after opening windows and getting the fire out, we escaped with the animals to the 15 passenger van in our driveway... As I tightened the top on the blender in preparation to whazz things up, something nagged at the back of my mind....</p> <p>...of course I didn't listen, and an explosion ensued. Thankfully no burns, but a h$&amp;* of a mess. I cleaned the ceiling, then ate dinner (delicious!) then spent 2 hours cleaning the rest of the kitchen while DH escaped to a friend's house to watch a hockey game. </p> <p>Well, I won't do that again. Made an apple cake, and chocolate chip cookies, so the kitchen smells pretty good, and all traces of my disaster have been obliterated. </p>
