Rita, I ended up sending most of it back... I kept one jacket and I'm regretting that one because it didn't really pass my range-of-movement standards (which are usually really high).. I did keep a leopard print shirt which I use a lot. But the pants and the rest of the order were not up to YLF standards, and in retrospect I'm glad - I was letting style overcome fit because I was smitten. Live and learn!

ZARA's sizing is crazy. Spanish sizing, in general, is. It's not you, it's them.

For the record, I'm a Large in ZARA, and almost underweight in terms of Body Mass Index. Go figure. I'm not tall either.

Rae, I'm with you on F21 - some of it is garbage but some is perfectly good for the price point, and at least the sizing fits me consistently.

Zara is a heartbreaker .I also have issues with their fit especially with their pants.
in store and with patience you can find nice things.

Mochi, I've thought that, too, but everything I've tried from F21 lately has fit like a dream - orange blazer, black aviator, burgundy blazer, plaid pants (last two secondhand). And those MUST be young sizes. I think Zara's just using strange fit models.

Yeah, I found very little in their Toronto store that interested me - and what I did find just did not fit (jackets too narrow in the shoulders, even in an XL.) Oh well!

I've never tried ordering online from them, and my only in-store experience with them was in Germany, but I was quite happy wth the quality and sizing. I did find I was more comfortable sizing up from other stores, but once I found "my size" I was happy.

I think Zara has "young" sizes or however you want to call it. On what planet would I be able to wear a snug but fitting Size 10 (Boden) and not be able to squeeze into a Zara 12? What-EVER! Plus the jacket I had ordered was just a lot cheesier-looking (and just as importantly, -feeling) IRL than in the pic. Oh well. I've seen some of their stuff in-house that looks great, but would not order online again. At least they were nice about the (in-store) return. I tell ya, sometimes it helps not living in Alaska.

Sona, I know you've mentioned your sister before. Just today I found out that a friend of mine from high school (SAHM of 5 kids, wonderful husband, fab house, etc) checked herself into a month long program to overcome anorexia. I am so glad she did because all her posts on Facebook were obsessing about her weight, looks, what she ate, whether she got to the gym enough, etc.

I'm sure your sister's situation causes you a lot of pain. It is so sad to see someone go through that. I hope you realize how much better off you are, baby belly and all.

Zara does have great stuff BUT I've had terrible luck with online ordering too. Its like you must try on every piece to know what size you wear. My size 10/12 bellycan wear a medium in some of their stretch pants , a large in some shirts but I need an XXL in other shirts?? Frustrating but whenever I am in a city that has a B&M Zara I do strike gold. So don't give up completely. wait for your next LA Disney trip!!

Just to bring my wonderful beautiful but crazy skinny sis in the pic- even the 00 and XS Zara clothes have become too big for her. Just wait to see wedding pics from feb/march of this year Una- my supertall supermodel sister, broadshouldered me, my major broadshouldered bro and my 65 year old Mom who looks 38. And other than my bro and I the rest of the family LOVES Zara.

Hijack of this thread officially over.

I got my order and nothing fits. I don't see how a blazer in size M could not have room in the arms and shoulders for someone my size... It is crazy. And the print pants were cute, but I could find something that flimsy for at least half the price point. It's really frustrating that their clothes are so cute yet so off. Jonesy and I are are at opposite ends of the height spectrum - you'd think something would work for one of us!

Rant over.
