We went 1,900+ miles in 3 days, and it went better than I expected.</p> <p>I managed to go almost 3 weeks with a capsule wardrobe of: 2 tank tops, 4 short sleeved shirts, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of jean shorts, 1 jacket, 1 hoodie, 1 cardi, and 2 pairs of shoes.</p> <p>We brought the cats with us, and they dealt with the car alright and have mostly adjusted to their new house and climate. Yay kitties!</p> <p>My summer job was canceled (the summer camp didn't have enough kids sign up), so I've been trying to throw together some temporary and part time jobs to make ends meet before school and my stipend return in late August. So far I've got a seven day nanny-substitute job that started today and goes through next Friday, and hopefully some of my other leads will work out. I'm adjusting to the idea of not having one steady job for the summer, and am very glad I didn't make a lot of purchases with my summer teaching job in mind.</p> <p>I'm happy to be back, and am overwhelmed by how much I've missed! It was actually a nice change to have my capsule wardrobe (and nothing else) for a good chunk of time, and I have to admit I'm a tad daunted by returning to a closet full of options after living out of a duffel bag. </p>
