I'm taking jumbo doses of Ibuprofen, so it's masking a lot of the discomfort. My incision is slowly waking up (it was completely numb at first), but it's very manageable. I can walk around the house, and up and down the stairs. The hardest thing is sitting (even on the couch) and getting up out of chairs and out of bed. I'm taking it very easy because there's a risk of developing internal scar tissue if you do too much too soon. </p> <p>Yes, I'm in lounge wear all day. Right now I'm in cotton PJ bottoms and a very soft silk long sleeve top. I also wear a long robe. </p> <p>When I was at the hospital, I wore two hospital gowns (second one like a robe when I went for short walks on my second day). And my old red slippers (with hospital socks). As for the nursing staff, I saw more running shoes than Crocs! And with good reason, this new hospital is *enormous*, and the halls are incredibly long. I'm so glad the site is back up and running. It stopped working when I was writing my entry on Saturday. I worried that my firewall was somehow responsible, so I also checked through another website (<a href="http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/" rel="nofollow">http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/</a>), and it told me the site was down for everyone. </p> <p>Anyway, I had surgery this Monday, and just came from the hospital. I am fine, but will take it very easy and not use the computer too much this week. </p> <p>I debated whether to post about this in an open forum, but I may also lean on you guys for support later on. I had a laparotomy to remove two rather large ovarian cysts (endometriosis). I never had serious surgery before, and my experience was much better than I ever expected. I hope my lucky streak continues and I heal fast. </p> <p>Thank you Greg and Angie for getting everything back up! And thank you for this forum and blog. </p>
