Their sizing does run small (European companies often do), but the tunic that I bought is the same size as the AT dress that I just bought. My closest stores are only a couple of miles away from each other, and often they have very different things so I guess it varies a lot from store to store. I was just surprised that I found about 15 different styles to try on- I have not found half that many tunics at any other single store.

Hmmm...I went to H&M on Saturday, specifically to look for tunics and found very little. Do they merchandise their stores different in different areas?

Sizing does run small. I tend to wear between a 4 and 6 in the real world and at H & M I wear between an 8 and 10. I bought a new black waistcoat (size 8) and a shirt dress (size 10). Then I went right over to LOFT and bought some new pants in size 4.

I would have bought more at H & M but the sizing is really odd on my body. How can something be both too big and too small at the same time But the low-low-low prices make it worth the search!

Man, I wish we had an H&M. And it looks like I'll be within 5 miles of one tomorrow and I won't have time to go.

April, I think the general consensus is that H&M runs a couple of sizes smaller than say your AT or BR. I find that when I do size up, it's either too long or doesn't fit somewhere else. The tops & dresses don't seem to work for my body type although skirts & bottoms are better.

I'm with you, Shana. I have found their sizing to run very, very small. The two fitted pieces I've bought there recently, a jacket and a vest, have been several sizes (in number) larger than what I usually wear.

I don't have that much experience at H&M, is that generally true for them or was it a fluke?

Thanks for the tip, Khris. I'll have to take a peek at H&M. The sizing there is really funky on me so I rarely buy clothes there. Were the tunics you saw very short (like would work on petites short)?? Can't wait to see what you picked up!

If you're looking for tunics and you are near an H&M- give them a try. I was at one today, and I saw all different styles in all different fabrications- in very reasonable prices. I only ended up taking one home, but I can see that I will have to make a trip back soon.
