I have never tried superfeet, but have extremely high arches and wear custom orthotics. I have little to no foot pain anymore and a reduction in other joint pain. Only problem is they limit what shoes I can wear.

I have extremely high arches and use the Superfeet inserts in most of my shoes. They cost about $25 each and I've seen them in places like REI and online. I also have custom orthotics and they cost around $300. I have had relief from both options.

But definitely go see a foot doctor. If your back is hurting, it could be from foot pronation which throws off the angle of the knee which you could feel in your hips and/or lower back.

I have high arches , but don't have any back issues...are you sure it is your arches causing your back pain? Have you seen a podiatrist about this. I agree with bj1111, custom arch supports may be the answer.

My husband wear arch supports, but he has almost flat feet.

your feet are the only ones you've got. whatever the price of custom arch supports, if they make your feet feel better and you wear them all the time, think about the cost per wear!

they may also increase the number / type of shoes you can wear. bonus!

I have SUPER high arches (from my dad) and recently invested in some $7 arch supports/insoles because I've been stricken with excruciating back pain. They help... I think.. but I'm still not sure if I'm just trying to convince myself that they do. I'm wondering if all they are doing is heightening my heel (as they don't even reach my arch in the arch area) and I've heard that's even worse.

I'd love to hear from someone who has feet like mine, and please tell me if custom arch supports are worth the price.
