Once I am done screaming obscenities while I get my right foot into the boot, I love them. I have a high arch and there is something about the angle of the shaft at the ankle that I can't negotiate. They are very comfy and great for skinny calves. I've been on the hunt for the perfect boots for a few months now. In one of my very early boot posts, Angie suggested the Frye Veronica Slouch. I completely dismissed the idea out of hand.</p> <p>This weekend, I was at the mall scouring all the stores for the perfect boots. At Macy's I walked over to a table of Fryes. One lovely, slouchy brown pair caught my eye and I decided to try them on. They only had them in stock in a half size bigger than I take, but I tried them anyway, in hopes that they wouldn't work and I wouldn't be tempted to pay a ghastly amount of money for a pair of boots.</p> <p>Of course, I was completely smitten with them.
