(The Esprit ones are actually fairly substantial, and someone younger could probably get away with a shorter top. ) I only have a few tunics, and I'd like to get more, but haven't had time to look into that. In general, you probably want them to hit around mid-thigh. I'd say they run consistent with US sizing. I got a S, but XS would have probably worked, too. Although I am OK with them not being super-snug - they are very comfy and will be my favorite weekend pants I can't speak yet to what happens after washing and if they bag out over time.<br /> Kari, the front rise is 8'', and back is 14'', which is great. I swear they can look like regular skinny jeans and feel like real jeans in weight but stretch just like traditional leggings. I found great pairs as "online exclusives" on Kohl's website. With their sale promo codes and Kohl's Cash back promos they are a steal at about $20 and under. Their regular non-sale prices fall in the $40 range. I have bought both Mudd brand and Levi's denim leggings from their site. The one's I've bought have real zippers and functioning pockets and a solid, no elastic-band insert waistbands (the waistband material is the same stretchy fabric as the rest of the legging). They look and feel like jeans but fit like a glove. Their comfort level is unbelievable.</p> <p>The pairs I've ordered are from their junior department and I am a tall (5'9") hourglass and 48 years old and even the low rise ones fit comfortably on my woman's hips. No muffin top.
