Produce was surprisingly low (no green beans!) and their usually extensive deli and meat selection was not the usually bounty. The owner claimed that produce coming through/from Toronto isn't getting through due to ice storm issues! Fortunately,&nbsp; their power was restored on Christmas Eve, but it was a cold couple of nights on Sunday and Monday. You got hit so hard. My neighbourhood in Kingston looks a lot like yours and we had a similar situation -- just a few days earlier. Many many branches and trees felled. Like you we have gas fireplace and candles and a gas stove, so we were okay -- we just sat tight and waited. It was lovely to have the quiet.&nbsp;</p> <p>Your kitty is doing just what our kitty did!! And they look like cousins. (Mine's a Siamese).&nbsp;</p> <p> </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/ice-storm-in-to#post-1122383 Thu, 26 Dec 2013 14:30:54 +0000 RunswithDolphins 1122383@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Chirstmas 2013 is one we'll always remember!&nbsp; </p> <p>Pic 1 &amp; 2 Some of the tree branches that broke power lines in our area.&nbsp; We live in a heavily treed urban part of Toronto called the Beach.&nbsp; Many of the trees are quite old and we regularly get power outages during storms but this was the worst storm yet.</p> <p>Pic 3 We put out candles, drank wine and played board games by the fireplace.&nbsp; Not so bad. </p> <p>Pic 4 Kitty loved have the fireplace on non-stop. </p>
