Oh, sorry about your uneventful shopping trip. Yeah, I try not to take my kids shopping with me, but the rare times that I do, I load a small bag of card games, small note pads, finger snacks, water and all the electronic game devices we got. LOL!

Oh, and the bra story made me think about my students. They are 7th and 8th graders and always have a comment about what I'm wearing. The other day I wore my cream moto jacket. They told me it was too small. Then I come online and Angie said it was too big. What do these young teens know?! LOL

I'm sorry it wasn't more of a successful shopping day. LOL about your daughter and the bra.

I understand those disappointing shopping days. I'm so hard to fit (and now after being here at YLF I'm not sure I even know what fits and doesn't) that finding clothes is hard to begin with. Add in living in a rural community without shopping and not getting to the city very often. One of these days I'll get over that way to shop with you, we can celebrate or be disappointed together!

Oh Tricia! That's funny though. My dd usually insists on coming into the dressing room with me (with her own stuff to try on sometimes), and she does have her own opinions on things. I tried on a cotton dress at The Gap, and it was cut funny under the arms. She told me "Your bra shows in that". (This from the girl who has her bra hanging out one way or another all summer long!) I actually long for the days when I could have them in the stroller. It was easier in a lot of ways.

It's so hard when you have kids with you. I know yours are older than mine but I'm sure it's still not easy if they don't want to be there!

Funny story: I once tried to shop for jeans with both kids (they were 2 years old and 3 months old). Now, you know what hell postpartum jeans-shopping can be, but imagine how I felt when I put on one pair and DD1 piped up, "Mommy, those jeans are TOO SMALL!"

Yesterday, we had another day trip for the kids doctor appointments and some shopping. DD had been saving money to build a stuffed animal so I had promised her we could stop at the huge indoor shopping mall that we pass on the way home (they have one of those Build A Bear stores). This was good for me, because I am really in need of some things now.
It was a terrible trip. My son hates shopping, and he was "done" by the second store. I went into a lot of places, and tried on a lot of things, but the only thing that I ended up buying were a couple of new (smaller) tanks/camis from Old Navy.
I did come home to find that I had won an auction for some new (smaller) David Kahn's on ebay, so that's good. Sometimes I just hate shopping!
