I love the jacket though, so I think I am going to keep shopping for a better version. If it is, you might find it more practical for kid-runs than you expect. A ponte knit can be forgiving yet sturdy and really work well for casual wear. And a shorter one with tights and flat boots like the ones you've bought can feel casual.&nbsp;<br /><br />I like you in red as well, but agree this dress doesn't show you at your best,&nbsp;at least in the photo. With those wide pants, I know it's not ideal!<br /><br />Mixed reviews on the red dress. Hubby loves it, one friend that I showed it too likes it too, other friend, not so much. Another thing I will take under consideration.&nbsp;<br /><br />The boots look really nice with the shorter black skirt.<br /><br />I wouldn't wear the green jacket with those pants IRL - I am thinking more with jeans and that sort of thing. I really attempted&nbsp;to step out of my comfort zone &nbsp;- I bought colours as well as some things that I would never normally try like a shorter skirt.&nbsp;<br /><br />Please forgive the dodgy photos - no makeup, hair is a mess and the photos are really blurry! <br /><br />And please note that&nbsp;I really haven't styled any of these properly - the pics are just for the purpose of showing you what I bought.<br /><br />1. This jersey dress as well as the boots. This pic doesn't look great - I thought it looked better in real life, although I do&nbsp;think I need to wear some shapewear underneath. The boots I think are fab - I do think I will get loads of wear out of them!&nbsp;<br /><br />2. This teal cotton knit high-low top and a short skirt... hubby has been nagging me to wear a shorter skirt for ages. And I love the colour of the teal knit. I would probably only wear this with opaque tights though<br /><br />3. Same high-low top, just black - and a grey and black patterned skirt. This feels more me...&nbsp;<br /><br />4. I am really not convinced by this grapey coloured top - I did think it looked better in real life, but looking at the photo - well I don't love it.&nbsp;<br /><br />5. This military styled jacket - I thought maybe the shoulders were a little broad, but overall I like it.&nbsp;<br /><br />Any thoughts appreciated!&nbsp;<br /><br />
