My goal: appear polished enough for a high-tech crowd (so I don't have to be too fancy) and survive the heat with as much grace as possible. Add a teeny amount of extra stress because I'm in my second month of a new job, so still trying to get the lay of the land and fit in. (I'll be traveling with my boss and two co-workers.)</p> <p>I don't remember the last time I had to pack for weather like this. But after a focused try-on session that showed that somethings that work in my head don't work in real life, AND remembering I had a pair of black cotton ankle pants I hadn't yet pulled yet out for summer, AND the blessing of having lost enough weight to fit into another pair that was once too tight, I was able to pull together three outfits that fit the bill. &nbsp;</p> <p>We on YLF enjoy (or at least find value in) wardrobe planning. We think and we shop and we return things, and many of us are in the midst of NAS problem solving (blue anorak or black trench? black or burgundy booties?). &nbsp;I'm telling you, it pays off when you can go to your closet and pull together a capsule and be done.
